Meet Michael Scott, a seasoned professional with over three decades of expertise in quality control and engineering across the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, and nutritional supplements industries.

Michael embarked on his career journey in 1992 as a quality control microbiologist at Abbott Laboratories, where he swiftly ascended to supervisory roles overseeing entire facilities. His dedication and skill led him to become a quality executive, playing a pivotal role in the development of quality systems across the globe.

Driven by a passion for innovation, Michael transitioned to the dynamic world of biotech startups, contributing his leadership as a quality executive at esteemed companies such as Pfizer, Tissue Genesis, Charles River Laboratories, Integra® Lifesciences, Charlotte’s Web Inc, and doTERRA.

​Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Quality Systems Management from the National Graduate School of Business in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Michael is a 3,000-hour instrument-rated private pilot, applying the same principals in the sky as he does on the ground: attention to detail, risk management, and strict adherence to procedures.

Beyond his professional achievements, Michael is a lifelong athlete and has numerous championships in road and track cycling, as well as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. During his leisure, you'll find him exploring the great outdoors through hiking, backpacking, camping, hunting and is always accompanied by his loyal trio of canine companions.
